Pakistan will play under new captain Salman Butt due to sudden retirement of Shahid Afridi after the 150 run lost in the 1st test. New comers Umar Amin and Azhar Ali played well and they have to repeat their performance to level the series as Salman But and their bowlers did well.
Australia also have to improve their batting and bowling as they won by good show of part time bowlers Shane Watson and North. Simon Katich batted well in both the innings and need more support.

Live Commentary
That's all we have for you from here. What an amazing 4 days this has been. Do join us on 29th July as Pakistan will start their Test series against England. Until then it's good bye from all of us here....
Salman Butt: This win is simply wonderful. Thank God in the end that we won, it was getting nerve-wrecking towards the end. It has been a long time coming, but I owe this win to the young side. We dedicate this win to the people back in Pakistan. I would like to thank the crowd for such wonderful support. These young guns are definitely our future. If they can perform against Australia in such conditions, we can be world beaters. I hope the youngsters will learn more because we will make more mistakes, but we will work harder. On the upcoming series against England: England have also defeated the Australians in the Ashes and we will have to play well against them to beat them.
Ponting: The players were terrific with their approach. We were very poor in the first innings when we were bowled out for 88. I will not bat if I win the toss again on such a surface. I thought that the sun would have come out on the first day. The swing that the Pakistani bowlers generated was great. It has been a great series, with two good matches. Everyone has enjoyed it and congratulations to Pakistan for winning this match. I don't know if I will come back to England, but I enjoyed playing in England.
Aamer: I am absolutely delighted. It was a good team effort. I will go out and celebrate it with my team.
Mohammad Aamer is Pakistan's Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling display
Watson: We showed some real good character in the morning. We fought till the end but unfortunately we could not pull off the win. It feels good to have performed with the ball. The conditions have been helpful, I've really enjoyed bowling in these conditions.
Shane Watson has been named the Australian Man of the Match for his match haul of 6/33
Rudi Koertzen has been presented with a bronze statue of his replica by match referee Chris Broad.
What a match, what a win for a side that has gone through so much in recent times. 15 long years have passed since Pakistan defeated Australia, and they have finally managed to do it in their 'home' series. Australia, however, have shown that they are fighters, giving the term 'fighting till the end' a whole new meaning. What a start for new captain Salman Butt, who took over the captaincy amid raging turmoil following Pakistan's 150-run defeat last week. Pakistan have levelled the two match series 1-1 and will go into the upcoming series against England with some confidence. Stay tuned for the presentation.....
This will the last Test match for Rudi Koertzen and he is being presented with a souvenir T-shirt by the Pakistan team. Nice gesture really.
50.4 Johnson to Gul, 1 run, there it is finally! a historic win for Pakistan after 15 long years, it was a full delivery outside off, Gul drives it uppishly just wide of the fielder at extra cover, once it went past the fielder there was a celebration all over the ground, with everyone erupting in joy in the dressing room
Gul is on a pair
Umar Gul, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Johnson to Kamran Akmal, out Caught by Michael Hussey!! what a catch and this is not over yet folks! full and wide outside off, Kamran Akmal reaches for and slices it in the air towards gully, where Hussey dives full length to the left and clings onto a blinder. Kamran Akmal c Michael Hussey b Johnson 13(26) [4s-3]
